Brasov in two seasons

Brasov is an extraordinary experience at any time of the year. Last year I admired its beauties in two different seasons. On the first trip, being winter, we decided to go in Poiana Brasov because we have not been able to get there since childhood. So, arriving at Brasov station we bought bus tickets and we went by bus 4 to Livada Poştei, and from there we took another bus to get there. We waited about half an hour, but for us it seems like an eternity has passed. The cold was against us, but nothing can stop us and change our plan. We were too anxious … We arrived in Poiana Brașov and we decided to take the cable car to the Postavaru peak. That’s how we got into a story world. There are no words to describe what I have seen, which is why I will let the pictures take the place of words.

After a few hours, we returned to Brasov. First we went to the Council Square(Piața Sfatului), then we visited the Black Church(Biserica Neagră), the main symbol of Brasov, which is a few minutes away. This is one of the most representative monuments of Gothic architecture in Romania.

Desirous of adventure, we started looking for the Black Tower (Turnul Negru), which gave us a beautiful view of Brasov. From there, we continued our journey to the White Tower(Turnul Alb) and the Graft Bastion(Bationul Graft). Finally we arrived at the Fortress of Brasov( Cetatuia  Brasov), which was closed and unfortunately , it could only be visited from the outside. But, “There is a good in all evil”, we had the most beautiful view of Brasov.

And because a visit to Brasov is not complete without a climb on Tâmpa, we returned there last summer. This time, we managed to take a cable car ride on Tampa, and then we visted again our dear places.

PS: I really recommend this wonderful place.
